As long as you're talking about the iPhone's physical controls...I think the most brilliant design feature of the iPhone is the vibrate/mute toggle switch on the side. Who wants to dig through software menus to turn off your ringer every time you go to a meeting? I give thanks for that physical control several times a day.

I agree, but wish there was a way to create additional power profiles, like 'work' & 'home', etc...

Motion seconded regarding the mute switch. One feature I'd love to see, found on a friend's early-generation crash-o-matic smartphone years back, is the ability to auto-mute based on calendar events. E.g. "please be silent during this meeting/movie/etc." The beauty of that approach was never forgetting to un-mute the phone when the event's over.

Cool info on the triple-clicking options ... I have seen several forum posts in the past where someone was complaining about not being able to zoom in further -- turns out they can.

Here's a related find: triple clicking works even when the phone is locked -- I discovered that by triple clicking / turning on High Contrast mode from the lock screen you get a decent flashlight (sans app).

What I have never understood about the iPhone is that there is no physical way of accepting a phone call. It must be the only smart phone without this feature. Try accepting a call in very bright light outdoor situations. Or having a convenient way of answering the phone when your hands and eyes are busy with other tasks.

Apple should make it possible to accept a call by double clicking the home button or, better still, using a feature like the Google app which responds by simply holding the iPhone to your ear.
