I wish the command "redial" would work. Seems pretty basic to me but alas iPhone does not recognize it!

I wish you could trigger the speaker phone from the voice control, you call some on with voice dial, then you need to hit another button to continue hands free functionality.

Also, if you enter a Nickname in Address Book you can use it for voice dialing. I gave a friend the nickname "Butthead". Imagine his surprise when his phone rang when standing beside him I voice dialed Butthead. :)

I find the Voice Control on my iPhone 3GS to be hit and miss. While I'm able to call people in my address book with reasonable accuracy, the iPod Voice Controls have never worked well for me. Asking my iPhone to play anything by The Beatles is a hilarious exercise in futility. I've tried it maybe a hundred times, asking for unique titles that shouldn't be easily confused. Invariably the response is something completely out of left field. Not ONCE has it played anything by The Beatles, let alone the correct song. It's like someone installed an anti-Beatles filter.

D'oh. Just realized I can't ask for a single song. That explains it.

Has Apple improved Voice Control at all since OS 3.0? I distinctly remember trying to use it as soon as I got my iPhone 3GS last summer and being rather disappointed by the results. I didn't use it again until last week, and it worked very well.

Oh wow. Thanks. I didn't know you can activate it from the inline remote of the headphones.

I don't know if I'm missing something but using this as a non-native english person really doesn't work at all. As a Swede, even though it supports swedish, i got to choose between being able to voice dial or be able to control the music. This is because almost all my music is in english and all the people i know have swedish names.

Even though just one of this features is awesome on it's own it's feels kind of broken when i can't use both.

I've been using this feature for the last couple of weeks. Mostly I'm very pleased with it since it works well most of the time, (just don't try to use it when there is a lot of background noise or you will call someone you didn't want to).

Doesn't really work for me. I ask for play lists and it's dials people.

Going to try this on my mom's phone when she gets it...but just exactly what is Mainland Chinese? Mandarin? Cantonese is spoken in China as well as many other dialects, so just wanted to clarify
