I have an old generation Tangerine ibook (G3, c. 2000) and I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any adaptors/cables available which would allow me to connect my ibook to a classroom monitor for powerpoint presentations. It only has USB, Ethernet, Modem ports. I have checked with my campus IT folks and the gentleman only said get a new laptop. ANy asssistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The first iBook model did indeed lack any method for mirroring the internal display on an external video monitor or projecter.

The only solution available is an adapter that is connected to the iBook's USB port. Several manufacturers make such a device - see for example http://www.eskapelabs.com/myview.html .
