hi there

i am fairly new to the whole ripping and burning cd thing. i have no issues downlaoding music and when itunes launches the downloaded materials it works great converting through toast lite to make cd's. my big question is two parts.
1 why do some downloaded audio files launch as qt "moview" instead of just itune audio tracks?

2 can i convert these qt tracks into mp3 data? when i try and drag them into my roxio window, they appear not to be recognized. if i look for the file on my desktop and try and import the same thing occurs it appears "invisisble"

i didnt do anything differntly when downloading... i wish they all were opening in itunes. how can i fix this.

i have a lacie 40 x friewire cd burner, and os 9.1 if that helps, i have been downlaoding from limewire...
i hope you can help me!

graham

You can use iTunes to convert Quicktime files to MP3. Use the "Advanced" menu "Convert to MP3" choice.
