Anybody else have this problem or know a solution? Internet Explorer freezes (spinning beachball) when I go beyond the opening page on the Amazon.com website. The same thing happens when I try to read confirmation emails Amazon sends to my .Mac address. In either case I have to force-quit to get out of it. It happens on most (but not all) Amazon.com links that come up when I use the Internet Explorer search option for Amazon. Occasionally it happens on other web addresses as well. This seems to have started after I updated to IE 5.2. I'm using OS X 1.5 on an iMac G.4 with a high-speed phone connection.

Have you installed any special addresses in your firewall or hacked the hosts file or installed ad or pop-up blocking software?

Try quitting IE, removing com.appl.internetconfig.plist from your home Library/Preferences folder, and the "MS Internet Cache" folder from your home Library/Cache folder; then launch IE and try again (that removes all preferences and cookies and cached data.)

Hi there, I am new user of apple computer. Can you tell me what to do if the computer freezes? I need to end the task right? Can you tell me how to do Ctrl-alt-del in mac? Before I only force it to quit by reseting the computer. I did not know other way to end the progarm. Is it going to affect the computer if I do so? Thanks
