iOS 4 software update

Just playing around with it a little, and it seems much snappier, quicker, and cleaner. I added a bunch of apps back that I can now stick in folders.
My major beef with it is that there is no longer a way to select a shortcut for the home button. in ios3 you could set a double-click of the home button to anything you wanted (I used it to launch the camera, very helpful). Now that multi-tasking uses the double click, I was hoping that there would be another way to do this, sadly I can't find one!

"Over 2000 apps" is great. But it can't do even simple things like:
3 folders... each with 13 apps.
Why not let the *USER* decide how many folders... and how many apps per folder... as long as it doesn't exceed 2000 total.

The way the folders interface is designed, there's no room to show more than 12 apps without scrolling the contents of the folder. Sure, that could be done, but I'm not convinced it would be a good idea.

This article is exactly what I needed. I established my folders right away, but I couldn't figure out what was so great about multitasking. All it seemed to do was keep me from having to go to the home screen. Apps would have to fully reload...and now I know it is because they must be updated to support multitasking. Should have realized that. So yah, not very useful at the moment.
I also don't like the long line of apps that result in the multitask bar. (And having the iPod controls with iPod icon, then the iPod icon again, is silly.) It is too annoying to hold the icon to get them jiggling, then tap the delete badge. I hope all those programs aren't running in the background, killing my battery life. They are suspended, right?
Other little things: noticed the arrow next to the battery indicator to show when an app is using my current location. Photos optionally organized by Places now. I LOVE the gracefulness of the animation for going to the home screen is (either from lock or an app). Very sleek.
Many are reporting a VERY long backup/syncing process. Like on the order of HOURS. Mine took a while but not that long, but just be aware your phone may be hostage for a while when you update.

If you enable parental controls on movies in iOS 4, all your audiobooks will be hidden. On iPhone OS 3.x parental controls on movies would hide explicit podcasts. That bug is gone in iOS 4, but the audiobooks bug has been introduced.

I upgraded my iPod Touch 2G and find that it's very sluggish loading Settings, Safari, Maps, etc. Anyone else having this problem?

Upgraded to iOS 4.0 on my 3GS iPhone and it is TERRIBLE!!
It made the phone way slower, when someone calls I sometimes see an empty screen and it takes a few seconds for the caller to show up and for the iPhone to start ringing, it disconnects in EVERY phone call, the maps app gets stuck all the time etc.
Don't know what to do! is there a way to get back to 3.1.3?

Plugged my iPhone into my computer to recharge it...
"New OS is available. Click here to install." Like a fool, I clicked.
Now my phone won't turn on. I took it to the AT&T store. They were worthless. I took it to the Apple Store. They "reset" it, and said "it should work now, when you plug it back in." It doesn't.
If you like your phone for anything other than a pretty little Apple icon with a status bar below it that never goes beyond 25%... don't install this OS.

My company uses lotus notes. Since I upgraded to iOS4, my app for lotus notes no longer works. Has anyone got a fix?
