I'm trying to back up all my calendar dates, emails, to do lists, and contacts in order to do a clean install for OS X.2. However I can not find the archive function and the only export i can do is with my contacts.

Does anyone know how i can backup all my info from entourage, and/or where the files are located on my HD?

Thanks for any help images/icons/smile.gif

Your Entourage eMail data (including messages, contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, account settings, rules, etc) is stored in an identity folder, probably named "Main Identity" unless you explicitly created a different identity. You'll find it in your "Office X Identites" folder in the "Microsoft User Data" folder in your home Documents folder. The files in that folder are named "Database", "Rules", "Signatures", "Database Cache", etc. You should back them all up regularly.

From the ReadMe file that came with Entourage:X

6Maintaining Your EntourageX Data

6.1Location of Your Entourage Data
Entourage stores data such as preferences, rules, schedules, signatures, messages, contacts, and all other Entourage items in a database on your computer. The first time you start Entourage, a new folder, called Microsoft User Data, is created in the Documents folder. Within the Microsoft User Data folder, Entourage creates a folder called OfficeX Identities. This folder contains the Main Identity folder, which stores the data for the first identity. Each time you create a new identity, Entourage adds a folder for it to the OfficeX Identities folder.

6.2Backing Up Your Entourage Data
We highly recommend that you make regular backup copies of your data so you can restore it in the unlikely event that your hard disk is damaged or your data becomes unreadable. To make a backup copy of your data, drag the identity folder you wish to back up to another volume, such as a different local or network hard drive or a high-capacity storage disk. To restore the data for an identity, drag the backup copy of the identity folder to the OfficeX Identities folder.

If you want to archive items for a purpose other than backup/restore, there's an Export-Import Entourage AppleScript created by Paul Berkowitz you can download from AppleScriptCentral.

However, for what you have in mind, just saving your Office X identities folder should do nicely.

Also consider if you want to backup any custom dictionaries or autocompletions (for Entourage v.X or Word v.X). These are usually in your Library folder.
