iGetter and Speed Download are far superior in download-speed as they utilize multiple connections to the source. Also, other clients certainly come with more features and options.

The reason Leech exists is to create a simple, light download manager.

I have been using it for quite a while and I don't look back as I really like the neat interface. I wouldn't recommend it on slow or unstable connections tho.

It was only after I downloaded the app and was installing the browser plugin that I discovered Leech is still replying on the SIMBL hack to plug into safari. This should have been updated by Many Tricks as the official extension architecture has been out for months. This should have pointed out in this review though.
