I'm just curious if anyone still plays Myst? Also, which of the five games of the series was your favorite? Least favorite?

I still play the Myst series of games. I am still working on Myst IV and Myst V. I play them now in Boot Camp since they were hybrid CDs. I still have my original Myst CD that ran on a 68030 Mac and it runs great on my vintage LC 575.

Oh Myst! I loved it when it came out.

Part 1 is still my favorite, maybe I'll dig in the crates on the weekend for it ^^

It's actually been available for the iOS for quite a while now, for those of you who may not have been aware!


It's one of those games that ended up buying purely for the nostalgia value (speaking of, I still have to get Riven as well) as I still miss Hypercard from time to time!


Considering that Myst for iOS actually runs smoother on my iPhone than it ever did on my desktop Mac back in the day, IMHO it's well worth the $5 Cyan asks for it!

Yes ,I play Myst games...My most favourite is "Double Agent" and least favourite is "Lineup"....!

yes ,I loved all the myst games but there was one that was Windows only forgot the name . Why can't someone make games like this anymore? some of us are to old for first person killing games .I don't like roll playing games.

If you're aware of an old game called The Fool's Errand, there's been a sequel in the works for quite some time. Seems to be a Xeno release; always getting closer but never quite arriving.

I generally liked the games in Myst's *category* (and played a lot of them) but I really did not enjoy Myst itself.

I'll believe it when I see it. I paid for my copy in 2004 and have seen several release dates go whooshing by. It's been interesting keeping up on the professional and personal travails he's run into along the way. As a developer I'm sympathetic. As a user...I hope I get it before I die.
