the MM70i looks intriguing, but i hope the build quality holds up. i've had several pairs of the MM50i, but have had to send them in for repair after failing.

The reference to "238i" is an error, right? It's just the 238.

No. Click on the 238i link and you'll see the product page.

Sennheiser's 'buds ar OK, except for the cables. If they use that abysmal asymmetric design, and especially if they combine it with their tacky rubberized cable jacket, mark me "uninterested." Nothing spoils a listening session quite like a cable sticking to the nape of your neck, especially when it causes its earbud to pop out when you turn your head. And a design that puts all of the strain on the short earbud cable isn't too swift either.

The non-i models are standard headphones. The "i" models are the new products with the iPhone/iPod/Mac-compatible three-button remote/mic module.

I haven't used the MM models (though one of our reviewers will be taking a look at the MM70i soon). I'm a big fan of the PX and HD lines, though.

Darn. I would have liked a 202i or 212i model.

Cool, I'm looking forward to that review!
