Dear Editors,

We use 10.6.4 & CS5 already. Why 10.6.2 & CS3 instead?

I understand the older Mac Pro is for the FW400, but 10.6.2 and CS3 is too outdated.

How does it perform under 10.6.4 & CS5? It looks gorgeous, though.

I'm sure it's a fine product, as far as it's "allowed" to be. A less expensive eSATA or USB3 drive beats it, and has higher capacity. Alas, there's no Mac under $2300 that will support eSATA or USB3, so I don't blame these folks over using the lame USB2 or FW800.

I don't see how you can give a 5400RPM drive a Pro of "good overall speed"

Looks nice but I'll stick with my OWC 500GB/ 7200 RPM/ 16MB cache for $139.99.
