Other than the 5 point torx bit, replacing the "SSD" looks really easy from what I can see on the IFIXIT site.

In a couple of years when 256 or even 512GB will be sub 100 dollars, and the warranty is out, this will be great!

So with so little info, why does it warrant such a long write-up? Oh, free publicity.

Norton, I read about this product first on ZDNet, and some other site. Their coverage was basically a rewrite of the product page--what you seemingly prefer.

At least Macworld discussed the main issue I had that wasn't covered by the other sites: the upgrade installation. The installation is a major problem that wasn't even thought of by the other sites, probably because they don't have the awareness of the MacBook Air.

Either way, it's still vapourware in the traditional sense. :)

I asked a prominent, trustworthy Mac upgrade company, one who you all know and probably use if they had investigated these folks and they emailed me back and said they had found something very fishy about the company and its claims and would not pursue a relationship with this company and its products. They did say they were pursuing other options.
