I have done brochures in Word and that's OK but are there any other programs that are better?

However, if you do lot a brochures and other similar page layout projects professionally you might want to look at The Print Shop 2!

I've made some brochures using templates from FedEx and from VistaPrint. Both offer templates inside a tool that lets you create text, edit graphics, and end up with printable brochures.
