wow that's one expensive track-pad... personally I hate track pads to start so when a laptop has one my first instinct is to turn the lil' bugger off and use this crazy thing called a wireless MOUSE.

Now that is interesting. NOt sure how I feel about it since it is supposed to function as a tablet not as a laptop BUT.....
I like it. I would buy it.
ANd I feel a little dirty inside.

That's alright. Now I've had my iPad for a while, when I'm using my MBP, I find myself instinctively reaching up to touch the screen! Jobs says that touch interface doesn't work on a vertical screen, but I think a combined keyboard/trackpad/touch screen could be amazing.

Except that just as an iPad with a keyboard isn't a substitute for a MacBook, a MacBook Air isn't a substitute for an iPad.
I think a lot of people are missing the point of iPad keyboards. From what I've seen, most people looking for a good iPad keyboard or keyboard case aren't trying to replace or "create" a MacBook. Rather, they have an iPad and love all the amazing iPad things it can do, but they want to be able to occasionally do some MacBook/laptop-like things (such as extended typing) for which the iPad alone isn't that great. Instead of trading in the iPad for a laptop (which won't be able to do any of those iPad things they love), or bringing an iPad and a laptop on their next trip, they just want a good iPad keyboard.
As for the price, $150 isn't cheap, it's true. On the other hand, a quality Bluetooth keyboard is $60 to $100, and a good hardshell iPad case is $25 to $60, so the ClamCase's price doesn't seem that outrageous if it turns out to be a quality product.
