Does anybody know of any good lower-end alternatives for Adobe Illustrator? I'm looking for something sort of along the lines of what Pixelamator is to Photoshop.

I know that there's Inkscape, which works, but it's rough around the edges and doesn't feel mac-like at all, and there's also Freeverse's Lineform, but it's interface doesn't seem to have grown up much since it won that Apple design award in 2006...

Anyhow, even though those programs perform adequately they both leave something to be desired, so I'm just curious to see if anyone happens to know about any other apps...

MacDraft Pro This is what I currently use. I used illustrator for floor plans and technical drawings but came across macdraft. I used the personal edition (link below) first but quickly upgraded to the full version because it was perfect in terms of what I needed. :) hope this helps... haha actually i've just realised this is quite an old post too :P (I posted on an old post the other day) did you find an alternative in the end?
