Where do you put the thing? Left, bottom or right.

I have it on the right.

I have it to the right pinned to the bottom. It keeps the Trash in a static place.

I have mine to the right this is a recent change as I had it on the bottom for most of the time. I like the right better though.

Question
How do you pin the dock to the bottom and change the background to clear?

To change the pinning, use Tinkertool.

To make the Dock clear, use the Transparent Dock applescript.

Both are available on Versiontracker.

Middle left, for a few months now. Default background, but I might change it to transparent.

Hidden on the left ... works well ... have a few desktop folders down the right side.

I wonder why others don't have it on the left ... I appear to be the Lone Ranger ...

I keep it on the bottom.

I tried it on the right, but in Photoshop, I am constantly zooming over to retrieve palettes and the dock gets in the way. Same on the left, where I constantly gor for tool palettes in Quark and Photoshop. It just gets in the way.

Bottom is best for me. Transparent, also.

Depends on the monitor I use as a second monitor.

With one it is pout on the right, on the other it's on the left
