The real question is whether AT&T will be able to actually deploy LTE with the iPhone 5 (***not*** the 3.5G that T-Mobile was laughably calling 4G)...

Why can't they give that $39 billion to the USA's debt fund instead? …just a thought.

I thought the same thing. Crud. Guess I'll have to go to Virgin, unless someone can recommend another prepaid.

You can try Straighttalk, I used to have them before getting my iPhone with Verizon, the service is awesome, they use the Verizon Network.

Great. So my mediocre cell phone company has been bought by an equally (or even worse, depending on who you talk to) cell phone company. And for a meager 39B.

I'm just wondering how long it's going to take for T-Mobile's brand to be completely dissolved, and rates hiked to pay for the acquisition.

Because AT&T is a for-profit business with an obligation to its shareholders, not a charity for bailing out irresponsible legislators.

Its going to be very interesting to know what the FCC is going to require for approval. This could get messy with a lot of people left out in the cold when it comes to the iPhone because their territory got divested to a regional carrier,

I just got a great visual for a new T-Mobile commercial about the merger featuring the hot girl and the fat guy.
