I use MS Live Mesh to sync critical data between 2 computers. Because I do not use the Skydrive component nothing is stored in the Cloud so I can sync as much data as I want - ie unlimited amounts of data. For me this is very valuable and sets this service apart from DropBox et al. The sync is always running - as long as both computers are - so the sync happens whenever the files change - I don't need to think about it. Note the Mac app is intel only.
