I can confirm
2010 iMacs had target display mode. Belkin and Kanex had adapters that allowed the iMac to be used as a display for many different HDMI outputs such as game consoles and PCs.
2011 iMacs do support target display, but do it differently due to thunderbolt.
As a result- belkin and kanex converters no longer work... Kanex say they are working on one/
The only ones that will work are thunderbolt equipped macs plugged in via a thunderbolt cord.
If anyone knows of a hdmi to thunderbolt display adapter that works- I'd love to know about it!

I'd like to know the same. I want to use the 27" iMac as a display for an Xbox 360. Would iWires new Mini display port to hdmi work as an input into the 2011 machine? Or would the display selection option not work because it's not a thunderbolt cable?
If so, is there anything that would work that is out at the moment?
