Speaking on iPad. The video doesn't work on this article. Is that the iPad or just bad links.

Still, it's a surprisingly good crop sensor Nikon dSLR for the money (N.B. made in Thailand), esp. if you are looking for the somewhat smaller form factor of the D90, etc. Native ISO 100 is as welcome as the lower noise/high ISO capabilities (also compared against the D90, etc.) The recently released DX 35mm f/1.8 AF-S lens is a great fit for natural light indoor shooting, and there is also a brand new (reasonably priced) FX 50mm f/1.8 AF-S lens that will work great with this camera.
FWIW, I'm actually transitioning to the D7000 from a Canon 50D, though I'm opting for the superior optics of the DX 16-85mm VR over the (cheaper) DX 18-105mm VR kit lens. Those who consider "tack sharp" to be critical to the way they shoot would do well to demo both lenses before deciding.
As far as the MW review taking a long time to come out, if you'll check the usual sources you'll find the D7000 is *still* sold out everywhere. Even copies for reviews are hard to come by...
