For a couple years now I have been a huge apple fan (used to be a PC user, but now I'm a proud apple fan since my first iphone).
Unfortunately my fiance has never made the switch and we have always had the competitive joking fights of whose phone/computer is better than the others.
Last year when he proposed, we were joking around about how it would be funny if we put an iphone and a droid on the top of our wedding cake instead of the traditional bride and groom doll figures. After talking about it some more, we realized how cool it would be to have a non-traditional yet formal wedding cake that WE LOVED. I immediately contacted our cake designer and sure enough, she could make that design!
Since then, our wedding theme has drastically evolved to being the MAIN theme. From the cake, to having the person marrying us use an ipad to read off of, to us reading our vows off our phones, to a usb cord wrapped around the floral decor of the centerpiece, to the program designs, the invitation designs, the engagement photos, favors, prizes.... literally almost everything about our wedding is themed around it.
Although there are twists of traditional elements into our wedding because we still wanted it to be a formal dinner wedding that all ages could appreciate, but with a twist of our personality.
To us, a wedding should represent the joining of two people, regardless of their differences, and we want to make sure our wedding is unique and special to us.
