Hi, I think this is the best place to ask my question. A few co-workers and I like to play a little after hours. Years ago we used to play Marathon...(was OK). We wanted a racing game and found Carmeggdon, we like that a lot. We have all upgraded hardware and are now only running Jaguar.
So we are looking for the next office game. We are all at least G4 800mhz.
What are the recomendations for a Racing or shooting game that we can play on our small LAN. Ohhh and I can't forget that it can't be one of these games that we have to devote a year of our lives to play. Something that we can turn on, play for a while (1hour or so) and turn off.
Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,

Tim

Well, i can suggest Warcraft 3, its great with multiplayer, and can be played in less than an hour (average battle.net games are 20 mins long. Good for 2 on 2 or other team based play. If you dont like RPS (or RTS as some call WCIII) theres the newly released Jedi Outcast, that can be fun having lightsaber duels and such. Then theres always Quake 3, and the myriad of other shooters for mac. Have fun!

Quake 3 Arena of course. It remains the benchmark of first-person shooters and runs great on 300mhz iMacs. If you want to go a little more high-end, I suggest Jedi Knight for its addictive lightsaber battles and awesome maps.

Jedi Knight 2, Medal of Honor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. To bad Battlefield 1942 isnt for Mac, that is the ultimate multiplayer game next to Counter Strike.
