I haven't read this entire article yet, but in skimming I found one large error. The price for Neo 3D is on $999 (not $3,000). Since Cineform was recently acquired by GoPro, there's also a free, more limited, version available via GoPro.

How would this work with stereophonic glasses plugged into a Quadro-card in a MacPro? Would Neo 3D still be necessary?

Yes your right on the price when I wrote the article I think it was around $3k sorry about that and thanks for picking it up.
@hallmark, im not totally sure about pluggining in stereophonic glasses but Neo 3D is for conversion 3d finishing etc... which would be done for options to send to youtube, blue ray etc...
