I wouldn't call IPv6 "new". The standard has been around for 13 years.

Compared to IPv4, which has been around for thirty years, it's new.
And now a word from our lawyers.

So my computer cannot connect to the Comcast test site. Does that mean that I failed the test? How will it affect my GPA?

This is why they're doing the test now, so you still have time to enroll in an IP summer session. You can also change your IP address to P/NC.

That's because the article's link is wrong. It should be:
http://test-ipv6.comcast.net/

IPv6 in OS X is broken because of this bug that is still not fixed in 10.6.7: https://wiki.chpc.ut...ning+OSX+10.6.3 or http://bit.ly/mqaC0Q

Other IPv6 test pages: http://test-ipv6.com/ and http://ipv6-test.com/ The test pages report that everything works for me (tunnel config) but I did experience several time-outs today.

Clearer explanation of the same: http://openradar.appspot.com/7333104 "the first DNS response wins."
