Create PDFs from Browser or Online Magazines on iPad?

I will be buying an iPad this week. Can I create PDFs or articles that I want to save from the browser or from online magazines on my iPad? I could store them either on my iPad (ie, GoodReader) or on my MacBookPro via iTunes. For example, I'm reading the Wall Street Journal or Macworld and want to save an article for later reference.
