I have a question. It says that previous owners of Audition can upgrade for $99. The last time Audition was out, I was still plodding along with a Windows box, so my license is for Windows. Can I upgrade with that key? Did Mac users even have Audition? It started out as a Windows shareware program.

I think Audition is great, and always have.

You'll want to check with Adobe. When I spoke to them they indicated that they were going to be very aggressive about granting the upgrade price because they want Audition to catch on with Mac users. Note, however, that as I indicated in my review, this is a different product than the Windows product of old.

The reviewer said...

"While working through projects I found myself bouncing around from Multitrack to Waveform view, between the Effects Rack and Diagnostics tabs, and then up to the menu bar to ferret out exactly where a particular effect could be found. "

That sounds exactly like an Adobe product to me. In fact that's the STRONGEST reason why I try hard to avoid their wares. They make the least intuitive software.

If you "own" Soundbooth as part of the Adobe CS4 Suite, you are NOT eligible for the upgrade pricing. I this out the hard way.
