For what it might be worth, Mr. Breen, do you know where the Dashboard Stickies data is stored?
I have been hoping for a long time that Stickies would sync to some default iOS app, and among Macs using MobileMe.

Copy and paste would work pretty nicely for this. ::grin:: With this method, you can choose if each sticky goes in its own document, or you can paste all into one. You can paste to Textedit, Pages, Word, Notes in Mail.app, to name a few.
Good luck. Joel.
PS Hey, you can import that database file into Textedit too, but it is kind of wonky, I'd stick to copy and paste.

chflags nohidden ~/Library
I also understand that if you hold the Option key down "Library" appears in the "Go" menu of Finder.

Oh, come on, Stickies is awesome! I too never understood why it doesn't sync with iOS. Why awkwardly shove a "Notes" section into Mail rather than just syncing OS X Stickies with iOS Notes?
To export Stickies, as others have said, File -> Export Text... or Copy-Paste, or, if you close a sticky note you will be automatically prompted to save the note as a text file.
The coolest thing about Stickies, aside from having virtual sticky notes on your computer screen, is the "Make New Sticky Note" text Service and the Note -> Floating Window command.
In fact, I just used the "Make New Sticky Note" Service to save the terminal command for making the ~/Library folder visible for after I upgrade to Lion.
