Maybe Apple sneaked in a bug to disrupt FrontRow during one of their Snow Leopard system updates, just to see if anyone would notice--perhaps counting how many "notifications" were sent in by the software following a crash. Of course, nobody noticed.

I am traveling around the world and currently living in Argentina. My Internet connection is a shade faster than dial up, when it works at all. The cloud to me is not something I am looking forward to, much less trying to download Lion.
I own no television, just a US iTunes account and a 17" PowerBook with the all important remote control. I use FrontRow daily as my only media viewing source (with the exception of rented movies I have to start up annoyingly from iTunes).
Like the first poster I have found the other 3rd party options to be less than useful, especially since I can't overlook their shortfalls in lieu of their ability to stream. No streaming means I just want a simple solution, and for ages that has been FrontRow. Even if my Internet was fast enough I would have to spoof my IP address to access steaming content.
I had been hoping against hope that Apple would update their venerable app, but it seems it is not to be. I will be one of the few that miss FR should I live long enough to download Lion (it will take me days to download it, if it ever succeeds, it all depends on how well it picks up where it left off after it fails).

Ever since I installed Plex, no need for Front Row. Plex gives me all the same capabilities with the ability to fine tune, plus the availability of plug-ins for other content providers.
Cheers!
