Premiere Elements 10 sports powerful features with a beginner interface

This sounds perfect for me. I'm using a Sony TG3 camcorder which records in AVCHD and my home movies look great on the Mac, but all jagged and "muffled" looking on DVD.
DVD is supposed to be finished, but I like to have our home movies on them! If PE10 will let me use AVCHD and get a decent end result, it's gonna be the end of iMovie. I used to get better quality end results out of my old tape camcorder, and analogue mixer, with VHS, back in the 90's... Hopefully this is my saviour...
