I am shocked ... and speechless.

Here I thought we might see him yesterday ... but must have been in extremely poor health. My apologies.

He will be missed and remembered forever.

He was a great human being, and he left a dent in the universe.

The world is a better place because he was here.
Thanks for everything.

My heart just sank. I didn't know Steve, like I'm sure millions of people will say ... but because he is the essence of Apple - I felt like I knew him. I've been working with his creation for over 20 years. I am and will always be proud to be a Mac-Geek!

the world has lost a visionary. it was pretty obvious tho that he was a guy who would never give up the reigns of the company he loved unless his health was in dire straits. As a lifelong Apple user, from the apple III to current models, and a shareholder since before the Gil Amelio $12 a share days, his return was indeed the spark that saved apple from mediocrity and the bookshelf of the "once-great" idea companies. Luckily his drive for great products and great ideas is ingrained into every facet of the company and the question, what would steve do, will resound from the company halls and studios for decades to come. You left Apple in capable hands Steve.

I don't know what to say. I am filled with so many emotions. Just earlier today I was fussing about being dissapointed about the new iPhone, but now, now that just seems so much less important. Now, I am just sad, and even though I never knew Mr. Jobs, I sit here teary.

To the Jobs family, I say thank you for sharing with the world such a great and visionary man, inventor, mentor, and inspiration. Mr. Jobs has pushed the boundaries of technology and as result, the future of what is possible. I had my first Mac in the house back in 1983, I think it was an Apple II, I was 7. Over the years I've owned many more, I loved them all.

Steve, we love you, we will miss you, but your philosophy, impact, and inspiration will live on within each of us who are proud to be Mac.
