That & the fact that my upgrade price is $850 for another 7 months. This brings us close enough to what you are calling the iPhone 5.

MW - Is the iPhone 4S a big step up in call quality over the iP4? It isn't the iPhone. My VZW iPhone sounds great 99% of the time. Mom can't get any other carrier to sign her up because of where she lives, even though T-Mobile (go figure) has new native HSPDA serving her town and US Cellular has a tower just 3 miles from her town. USCC and ATT give her the coverage she has to have - well, the coverage I want her to have as my dear old mom - and I'm carrying the contract, and USCC won't issue me a contract. I know that VZW roams on USCC, but their native signal is so weak where she lives cell phones blow through batteries in just a few hours, but I'm thinking of it for her (it's native USCC area so VZW won't activate a Network Extender there). If the ATTWS iP4S and it's nifty antenna don't cut it my only other option is to find an old Motorola phone running the Synergy OS and SEEM edit it to disable ATTWS beastly AMR-HR vocoder and just not have anymore ATTWS smartphones...

Another trend, appears to be that Apple will intersperse radical and incremental changes. This makes sense to me. I don't really want to feel like I'm being left behind every time a new iPhone is launched. (Every other time is OK for me.)
As I said. It is probably obvious to everyone.

But could you share any insights regarding the bitrate Apple uses to compress 1080p video?
I wonder how much storage is used for example for 10 minutes of captured video....

It brings us close enough to next spring. There’s no guarantee that that’s when Apple will release their next phone. It’s more likely that it’d be fall of 2012.
