China is growing because they are how the United States used to be. When this country was founded it was hard workers that were not lazy and cared to make a difference... that is how China is now...
We are falling because people want something for nothing and want to just be "entitled"... not saying all of the United States citizens are like this, but look at the decline of our country...
I wonder how long before China becomes their largest market?

I think you're romanticizing both the Chinese of today and Americans of yore.
People in China and the US are both primarily concerned about themselves and their families. Their country is a distant, secondary concern. I'm not sure how many Chinese people you know, but every one that I know would not hesitate or flinch in snagging any government or corporate freebies or handouts they could get their hands on. And they wouldn't be bashful about it either.
The people are mostly the same. The difference is that labor here is more heavily regulated. Chinese companies are able to cut major corners on people's salaries and workplace safety. All of this is enhanced by the government keeping their currency undervalued.
edit: sorry, major summarization/rephrasing. Same basic gist + mentioned the currency.

If China is so important, shouldn't they get the iphone 4s now instead of at the end of the year?
