Automate sudio file equalization

I have about 300 .wav files (voiceover narration) recorded for an app we are building. They were recorded on a PC but were not equalized for output volume.

What app(s) can I use on a Mac (or a PC for that matter) which could allow me to equalize the output volume for each file in an automated way (ie. have an input file list and an output equalization scheme which can be automatically applied, and then also automatically save the file)?

On the Mac my first thought was GarageBand; On the PC, we have access to Adobe Audition - but I'm not familiar with the capabilities of each.

Are there other apps worth looking at?
