This only works if you

a) have the tracks in your standard PC/Mac iTunes library, and
B) you purchased the tracks from iTunes

For me, i manage tracks directly onto my device and dont use the standard iTunes library (it sucks). So when I turned Match on it wiped the device and the only way to have both Match songs and songs I manually import is to keep the manual imported songs in iTuens library

The smiley is supposed to be a B

What Apple seemed to leave out was to me the most logical; neither cloud nor USB, but a simple local wifi sync. I don't need my music on somebody else's cloud, traveling across the world when I want to sync what is a few centimeters away. Until the speed of my ADSL internet connection gets seriously better and I want to spend more to let Apple control my music, I guess I'm still stuck with the stupid USB cable.

The new iOS update allows that, but i had slight difficulty getting it to work but it did and it ran fast once it got going. just go into settings, general, iTunes wi-fi sync.

I turned off match so I could bring all the music I had in itunes back onto my device. When I turned match back on, it went through the 3 steps again, and asked if I wanted to add this computer. So far this was the only computer I used. Did it not recognize the same computer? Can't we Toggle between iTunes Match and local syncing without going through the whole set up again? I don't want to go over limit of computers/devices, by seeing the same message on the same computer, do you want to add this computer. I did add songs when I was syncing from a computer backup.

I'm pretty sure this has stopped working. Recently, when I turn iTunes Match back on, all my music is removed :(

To be clear, I'm syncing with a computer using the same iTunes Match account, and all the music is matched/uploaded.

can I stop imatch/icloud downloading to my iphone? I'd rather just play from the cloud via a data connection.
