Question: I have a lot of non-standard information that I have added to my iTunes Library. If I replace an existing track with a downloaded 256 kbs AAC version, it is necessary to delete the old track first. Am I correct that I would lose all of that non-standard information?

I agree with the question brought up by whogastim, my situation is slightly different.
Many of my tracks were ripped from dance CD's I own. I DON'T want iTunes Match to replace the special mixes that were done.
Is there a way to keep iTunes Match from overlaying songs that I don't want changed?
