Entourage 2008 allows our small office to create and share projects/calendars (shared calendars is the only aspect we really used).
It's flawed but it still works well enough for us. Why? because our office manager could set up a host of dates and times, modify them at will and it didn't involve sending out a slew of new emails for what was essentially an intra-office schedule.
With Office 2011 they did away with Projects and shared calendars entirely (with no notice to us at all-thank you Microsoft) and so we did away with Outlook and 2011 all-together.
In the past Entourage and Mail synced calendars created a frequent nightmare of duplicate upon duplicate upon duplicate calendar events. So Apple's Mail seems like the most streamlined app for handling mail between computers and all our devices given our integration with all our iPhones, Mac Pros and laptops.
My question?: is there an application that allows our small business to create shared projects/calendars the way Entourage does but with Mail?

Sadly..no. But Our office is about to go ALL Lion..so I'm investigating using shared iCal-andars and simply migrating to Apple Mail or Google docs. Entourage 2008 is very unstable in OSX Lion and I've had about enough.

I too am looking for an Entourage Project replacement. I don't care about the calendar or tasks. I use the project center to keep emails and files together. Often emails have tags for multiple projects and it makes it easier to find them since filing them in a project folder makes it difficult to find. I then archive the files and emails together since I often get clients referring back to old projects to either repeat or to refer to old info that they can't keep track of themselves because of Outlook's serious limitations in managing such things.
