Wouldn't this be even more handy as an iPhone/iPad app rather than require a laptop?

Fantastic. I just moved into a new house and was getting ready to place my AirPort and whether I need a second one.

Needs better differentiation at lower signal levels. Don't have much interest in the higher level differences since all is good there. You said figuring out appropriate levels was beyond the scope of your article. I'll use my iPhone as a discriminator too because it needs a higher/better signal to work than my laptop.

It definitely would be more convenient and effective, but... currently Apple doesn't provide any Wi-Fi SDK for iOS developers, so we are somewhat delayed. Once our negotiations are over, we'll definitely head on to the new release, as we also agree that it's much simpler to do wireless surveys with an iPad rather than MacBook.

This tool is great for setting up and planning a wifi net work in your home or office. I plan on testing it outside my home to see how my network looks to snoopers.
