I'm curious how exactly bookmarking is a feature if when you eject the disc the bookmarks are lost. When I bought my DVD player a decade or so ago one of it's features was that it would remember the last played state of the previous six DVDs. I spent an extra 20 dollars on this. That trumps the "9 bookmarks" feature by an incredible margin. I'm really curious why they couldn't save 9 bookmarks for the last 20 discs. Hell I would be happy for the last played point for the previous 9 discs rather then this non-feature.

My many years old Pioneer 300 DVD Carousel has what seemed to be unlimited bookmarks. They are placed in non-volatile memory that also stores the disc location and its name.
My 390 is already showing its age and is not being supported as I was told by LG. So it's time to start looking for a replacement. But there has been two models since, I want to know about the BD690 . . .

The review doesn't fully explain the I/O capabilities of this player. Specifically, I wanted to know if it supported wifi directly and if on-line streaming could be accessed directly through this player.
