So, is it a JUC400 or a JC400 (para 4 & 5)?
if it is to be, it is up to me...

I wonder if these can be daisy chained?

There are two other models, the 100 and 200. The company web site is difficult to use and the differences between the models is not at all easy to discern. It's too bad, some of their other products look good too, but the web site does not give a lot of confidence in the company.

Purchased this cable yesterday from Fry's, and I love it!! Works great from my macbookpro to my macbook air, or to my wifes Toshiba Laptop. I'm a tech, and need this type of cable when doing system upgrades and file transfers. I had the Targus, but the company stopped supporting the cable. Excellent price point as well. As far as the printed manual being of small type, yes it is, but don't consider that a CON. I downloaded a PDF version from there website..

Great thing, but there is software only alternative for quite some time. It is called Synergy: http://synergy-foss.org/
Works over local LAN, on all major OS. And it is working great.
From site:
Synergy lets you easily share your mouse and keyboard between multiple computers on your desk, and it's Free and Open Source. Just move your mouse off the edge of one computer's screen on to another. You can even share all of your clipboards. All you need is a network connection. Synergy is cross-platform (works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux).

Regards!

I used to use Synergy a lot, but have since jumped to InputDirector(http://www.inputdirector.com/) due to some mouse control issues with Synergy, mostly in games.
If you don't use this for gaming, Synergy is definitely a great free product!

I keep seeing reviews of this, but no one seems to have it for sale. What gives?

There is a better and a free method that works between many Macs and many PCs for me. I use multiple machines at times (in a data center situation) and using SynergyKM I am able to use my single keyboard and mouse I control different machines. Total paid = $0.

Seriously I fined SynergyKM easy to setup and use. Why bother with extra hardware.

Seeing the mention of Synergy in all the comments sent me hunting around. Synergy by itself (for me) is too involved (terminal, text file config). The other GUIs like SynergyKM and QuickSynergy look maybe up to date to snow leopard at most or just leopard. Inputdirector is a windows only app.

I found: Teleport
http://abyssoft.com/software/teleport/

I am using it now across Lion (10.7.3) to Snow Leopard (10.6.8) machines. It is a preference pane, easily installed. Version 1.1.1 specifically states support for Lion and Snow Leopard (nothing before), though you can still get an earlier version.

If the developer's resume is truthful he now is a developer at Apple.

Teleport has been working all afternoon for me, with no problems.

Wormhole's cable seems to solve the problem of how you connect the several computers to each other. I visited the Synergy Web site and found no info on how you make the connection when you use the Synergy software. Are there standard USB 2.0 cables that have identical connectors at both ends, thereby enabling you to connect two computers? I have never seen such a USB cable; all of the USB cables I have seen have different style connectors at their two ends.

I've been using this great cable (JUC 400 Wormhole) for the past two months as I had to move all pictures, documents, etc., from my old PC to the new iMac. This thing is really amazing! Once the software is recognized, it's a matter of selecting which platform you want to move from and then begin.

I actually bought this from the excellent review that I read on Macworld. Bought it from Fry's here in San Diego as they had a bunch in stock.

This moved all documents quickly through the USB . I would give this a 5 out of 5 rating. All in all, this a great little piece of hardware to move files around from a PC to Mac.
