G4 tv tuner

Rather than try to build a PC, I thought I would purchase a G4, but in addition to video editingt one of the things I want to do is capture satellite and TV broadcast and burn certain shows onto DVD. Being a newbie to Macs, I assume that the G4 doesn't have this capability. Is it possible to add a capture card (Hauppauge or an add-on card to the Nvidia card that comes with the G4) and which one would you suggest? Also, does anyone have any experience with the Canopus ADVC-100 and would I need one for analog capture with the G4? Thank you.
