Would it be better to use a controller than a mouse and a keyboard? Inquiring minds want to know.

PC gamers would say the mouse and keyboard, but being a console gamer, I'd say use a controller. Use which ever is comfortable for you.

On another note, I can't believe this is a Lion only game. That just made sure I'll play on my X360 instead. Not a fan of Lion; I am still on Snow Leopard.

If one had registered the PC version of the game on Steam, doesn't that get them the Mac version on Steam?

Nope, its only the PC version on Steam. Aspyr publish the Mac version.
