"From the Safari menu choose Preferences and in the resulting window click on the Tabs item. Enable the Confirm Before Closing Multiple Tabs or Windows option."

This option doesn't exist under the Preferences/Tabs window in the current version of Safari (5.1.2). Is it somewhere else?

It's there in the Snow Leopard version but not in Lion. I've updated the entry to discuss this. Thanks for pointing it out.

Hmm, apparently someone rickrolled today's column (and that someone would be me). Fixed.

Please remind people that if the external hard drive is an NTFS formatted that macs do not write but only reads them. NTFS 3G works well for that. Also all FAT formatted hard drives only allow up to 4 GB files to be written on the hard drive. I know windows 7 now comes up with the file is too big for the drive. :)

Thanks for the update! I just upgraded to Lion a few weeks ago and noticed the warning had disappeared. Never noticed the "reopen" options under the History menu until now.

With regards to "lost" Apps on iOS devices -- if you're using folders, then you can only cram in so many Apps into a folder, but iOS will still allow you to drop an App into a full folder, and you start "losing" Apps.

You can find "lost" Apps simply by doing a search.

The easiest and quickest way to re-instate an App is to de-select then re-select a number of Apps from the culprit folder, and those Apps will re-appear outside the folder, possibly on a blank page.
