There was a game I used to play when I was ten or eleven years old in the mid 90's on the old Power Macintosh. I only remember bits and pieces so here are my memories:
The intro video involved a man driving in a sports car in the underground garage of a large corporate building. I believe the man ran out of the elevator as it exploded and jumped in his car to drive to safety. Nobody else was around.
The game play was obviously 2D and consisted of you (the man in the intro video) trying to survive in the jungle? I remember running from gorilla type figures and swinging from vines. Also, you would need to jump and squash slugs as to not be harmed by them.
The beginning the the second or third level involved swinging yourself in a cage that was hung on the ceiling high above. The chain would break and the cage fell to the ground breaking and allowing you to walk free.
I also vaguely remember having to swim through tunnels in certain levels. You would need to time your swimming by stopping to get air at certain spots.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

By chance are you thinking about Flashback: The Quest for Identity? Here is a link:
http://macintoshgard...-floppy-version
or maybe Another World (aka Out of This World), similar game by the same company:

I would try looking through the www.macintoshgarden.org site. They have a list of old games in alphabetical order or by genra.
I've looked through the games from A-L so far, still looking through the games to see if I can find the one you are looking for. I'm a little interested to know what game you are looking for too
