What about the CPU? Is there a new CPU to push all those extra pixels around?

When the original Macintosh debuted in 1984, it was truly "What You See Is What You Get" because the 72 DPI screen resolution matched the Apple ImageWriter's standard resolution of 72 DPI (though you could print in "high quality" mode at 144 DPI and double the font size, this broke WYSIWIG.)
In 1985, the 300 DPI LaserWriter was introduced, and screen resolution has been struggling to catch up ever since.
Maybe next year we'll get a Retina display for the Mac? Until then, the iPad is the way to go.

Yes, A5X - supposedly 2x faster than A5, yet with the same battery performance (10 hrs or 9 hrs when browsing the web). Plus a handful of protocols, from EVDO to LTE. Watch the keynote. Cheers, Tristan

Does anyone know if the lack of Siri in the new iPad is a hardware or software issue? I.e., can it be implemented in this new iPad in the near future just through a software update?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My iPad, which I ordered Wednesday as soon as the advancements were confirmed, has been sitting in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong airport for the last 24 hours and a departure scan has now been made at 03/09/2012. Delivery scheduled for 03/13/2012 before 12:00.
