really? i'm using my P&Q just fine.
I guess I should note that my ipad 2 has a book back (http://www.dodocase....kback-for-ipad2) on it that probably makes up for the difference in thickness - so maybe an ipad2 fits better w/o. Still, I don't see a reason to get a new P&Q.

Xgear super-tight fit iPad2 back also fits the iPad 3 with no problems -- as does the Griff iPad 2 leather case back.
Clamcase keyboard fits perfectly with zero fit problems. Snaps in and out easily.
Oberon Leather iPad2 case fits iPad2 exactly the same.
In fact, everything I have tried so far fits -- the size is so negligible its insignificant for most cases, folio or otherwise. If you talk to Apple themselves, they are instructing people that all of their old cases will generally fit the new ipad....of course, people's mileage may very.
Long thread on Apple's discussion forums the last two days seems to indicate that many of the third-party knockoff smart covers that people bought for 3 dollars in eBay don't work (i.e. the magnets don't activate the on/off feature) on the ipad3.....you get what you pay for.

Fits the iPad 3rd generation just right . . . part nylon, part leather. Feels nice, functional, and for a family with kids it's good insurance for about 40 bucks.
Then found on eBay for almost half . . . woot!

Whoa! The hi-def 1080p quality is simply GORGEOUS. Seems to work quicker than the other one we had, definitely improved.
(. . . and somehow, we ended up going for Netflix finally. Just watched a great documentary on the iPad . . . about organic food consciousness in France. Yes, I guess we could classify quality films as accessories to the iPad w/ Retina display, eh?!)

Yes, this was an error on our part. Corrected.

And, as the article says, that's generally true. But in our testing of lots of cases, it's definitely not true for every one.

I'm awaiting delivery of my new Otterbox for the new iPad. It's supposed to be redesigned with the single most annoying non-feature of the original Otterbox fixed, the ability to stand your iPad upright in portrait orientation. I'll post a reply and let you know how it works.
Remember, though, while the Otterbox is almost the Sherman Tank of iPad cases, it IS somewhat heavy.
