One reason we use Aperture for this workflow is its Watermark feature, which adds a Macworld logo (in the form of a transparent PNG file) to all the images as it's resizing them.

I wish the author had included a version of the workflow for iPhoto. I would imagine far more readers have that program.

I agree being that it comes with your Mac.

iPhoto doesn't support tethered shooting so it's not an option for this kind of workflow.
