Thanks for the video! Here's an important difference between Snow Leopard's Spaces and Lion's Mission Control (there are lots of differences, I know, but this one is somewhat disruptive). For applications I've assigned to a desktop (space) in Mission Control that normally launch with a couple of windows open, moving to another Desktop after the app's first window opens causes remaining windows to open in the new Desktop rather than in the one to which the app was assigned. In Snow Leopard, once an assigned app's first window appeared, even if it was the splash screen, I could merrily change spaces without worrying whether any of the app's yet-to-be-opened windows would follow me to the new space, in other words, they would open in the same space the app was assigned to even if the space was no longer displayed on screen.

Now it's off to Apple to submit a feedback report about that problem. Thanks.

How To Keep Some Apps on Some Space.. Example Chrome Browser will be always in Space 2, Email and iTunes on Space 1 etc.

I have to click twice on an app in the Dock to make Mission Control switch to the space the app is in. On the first click, the main menu bar switches to the selected app, but none of the windows appear. On the second click the Space switches and the window appears.

Is this normal? I can't imagine that it is. If I put Xcode, Mail, and Safari in 3 separate Spaces, I have to click each of them twice in the Dock to switch to them.

Can Mission Control be document-centric instead of application-centric? It would be much more useful that way.

For instance, in one desktop I might want to work with a Safari window on my bank account together with an Excel spreadsheet.

In another desktop, I might want to work with a PDF or an e-book, using a different Excel spreadsheet to take notes (database-style).

Two desktops, two different tasks. But, unless I am missing something, I can't put two Excel spreadsheets in two different desktops.
