I purchased my iPad 1 when it came out. Then when the iPad 2 was announced, I pre-order it as soon as it came up online. When I received it I gave my iPad 1 to my youngest son who was in his final years of college majoring in Illistration and he used the iPad a lot as a drawing tablet. When the New iPad was announced I again pre-ordered one and traded my iPad 2 to my son for the iPad 1 which I then gave to my wife. She wasn't really interested in having an iPad but after using mine and now getting her own, she's on it all the time. My son is enjoying the iPad 2 upgrade and I am enjoying the,New iPad. I know when the next version comes out, I will be upgrading again and the swapping of the old will once again commence. Keeping it all in the family.

Really enjoyed this podcast. You took all the work out of figuring out how to configure the iPad for a kid. Taking us through the different ways Chris' daughter uses the device was the ideal that any parent would want for their child.

Outstanding show with a lot of great stuff for parents passing down an iPad (I read pass along as pass around and I would never let that happen).
But without a bone of contention I probably would not comment. The discussion of the educational opportunities for this device was given right after saying 'Don't let them bring it to school.'
Actually that is a great place for them. See Fraser Speirs at http://speirs.org/bl...n-itunes-u.html
