Why not just use a card making program. Everything is preconfigured for you. You can use all four sides of the card if you want, and printers know how to print them.

This is a great article with a bunch of great hints, but I had a few problems which I think I more or less figured out. First of all, during card setup you need to go to the inspector and turn off headers and footers and make the margins zero before you insert your first 5.5x8.5 text box in step 2. Secondly, when you insert the greeting text box in step 2, you need to go to the wrap inspector (third icon from the left in the inspector) and deselect "object causes wrap". Now where do I get an envelope to fit a card that's 8-1/2 x 5-1/2??? And why does it say the cards are for an inkjet printer? What about color laser? Does it have something to do with heat when [printing on the second side? ?
