Album artwork not transferring over when converting higher bitrate songs?

Is anyone else having this problem? I just recently starting converting my library to 320 kb mp3's and am noticing that itunes, when selecting 'convert higher bit rate songs to 256 (or 192 or 128)" that the artwork does not transfer over the the iphone.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any way to fix this? I want to be able to load up my 320 kb mp3's as 256 on my iphone but don't want to lose my artowrk.

And just to make sure, all artwork is correctly tagged to each individual file, manually. If I transfer them over as the original file without converting them they look fine.
